Schofield murdered foster child Logan Marr by binding her entire body with duct tape in response to a tantrum Logan supposedly threw. She was bound to a too-small high chair in an unfinished, unheated basement. There, the child smothered to death because of the duct tape that was placed over her mouth and under her chin. She was alone when she died. Logan Marr was five years old.
